Below are some of my favourite sewing tips that I think may be helpful to other sewers out there. If you have any tips of your own feel free to leave comments.
- Always check the needle is in the most upright position before trying to thread - especially on a machine with autothreading.
- If you are starting a bog project make sure you have at least 2 bobbing full of the colour you will need - there is nothing worse than having to stop, unthread your machine, fill a bobbing, then rethread before you can continue your sewing - especially if you only have an inch or so of seam to finish or are short of time!!!
- Make sure you are using the right needle type and size for the material and project you are sewing.
- Have an iron handy at all times - even if it is only a travel one.
